SAN FRANCISCO – For the fifth and final time in 2021-22, freshman Mouhamed Gueye was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week as the first-year Coug took home his fifth award of the season, this time for the week ending on March 6. Gueye became the second freshman this season to be named the top newcomer in back-to-back weeks after also earning the award the week prior for his play against the Huskies. His five awards are second most in the conference trailing only Stanford's Harrison Ingram who has earned a league best six weekly awards on the year while Gueye's four during Pac-12 play was the most of any freshman on the year.
