Fueled by ‘chip on his shoulder,’ WSU QB Luke Falk provides a rare glimpse of his emotions in win over Stanford

PULLMAN – One of Luke Falk’s biggest strengths is his even-keeled nature and his ability to keep a poker face and use the same level tone whether he’s rehashing a huge upset win for WSU, or a cringe-worthy slaughter.

That steadiness is one reason the senior quarterback has led Washington State to seven career fourth quarter comeback wins – which might, suggests Cougars’ head coach Mike Leach, be “a record or something.”

Falk’s intense competitiveness was apparent in WSU’s 24-21 win over 18th-ranked Stanford on Saturday evening.
