They waited 15 years for this moment:
ESPN’s College GameDay finally hit Pullman this Saturday morning ahead of Washington State’s top-25 showdown against Oregon. Ol’ Crimson had traveled to 217 consecutive shows. Finally, GameDay was coming to the flag. Well, flags. Emphasis, plural. Like, a lot of flags.
They said it themselves: It was worth the wait.
We were in Pullman for the party — story to come — and also watching from the couch. There were signs, a multitude of decibels and, yes, even fireworks. Alas, no Popcorn Guy, despite Gene Wojciechowski’s best efforts.
