LOS ANGELES - Continuing to his upward trend on the national scene, sophomore forward CJ Elleby was named to the John R. Wooden Award® presented by Wendy's® Preseason Top 50 Watch List Tuesday morning. Elleby was previous named to the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award Watch List as well as the Preseason All-Pac-12 First Team.
The Wooden watch list is comprised of 50 student-athletes who are the early front-runners for the most prestigious honors in college basketball, the Wooden Award All American Team™ and Most Outstanding Player Award. The Pac-12 leads the way with eight selections on the watch list while Elleby is one of just 16 underclassmen to work his way onto the list.
