PULLMAN, Wash. – Junior Margie Detrizio netted two goals as the Washington State soccer team (1-1-1) defeated Eastern Washington (0-2-2), 3-1, Sunday, Aug. 28 at Lower Soccer Field. The Cougars picked up their first win of the season with an opening goal from fifth-year senior Sydney Studer and the first-career brace from Detrizio.
Ten minutes into the contest, WSU senior Grayson Lynch stood over a corner kick, serving an in-swinging ball to the edge of the 6-yard box where Studer connected for a header into the far-left netting and the opening goal.
