Dan Spencer Named Cougars Associate Head Coach

PULLMAN, Wash. – In his first official move since being named Washington State’s head baseball coach, Marty Lees named Dan Spencer as the Cougars’ associate head coach, it was announced Thursday. Spencer will oversee WSU’s pitching staff and reunites with Lees as the two spent four seasons together at Oregon State, winning back-to-back College World Series titles in 2006 and 2007.

“Today is a great day for Cougar baseball,” said Lees. “I believe Dan Spencer is the finest pitching coach in the country and we are excited to have him part of our program. Dan and I coached together at Oregon State, he knows the northwest as well as anyone, and has existing relationships throughout the region.
