PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State men's and women's track and field will send a combined 16 student-athletes — eight men and eight women — to compete at the 2023 NCAA Division I West Preliminary Round in Sacramento, Calif. The Cougars' women's 4X100-meter relay team will also compete at next week's opening round of the 2023 NCAA Track and Field Championships, hosted by Sacramento State at Hornet Stadium.
Brazilian national Micaela De Mello earned All-American honors as a true freshman in the women's 100m hurdles, she finished fifth at last week's Pac-12 Championships, and will return to this year's NCAA West Preliminary with the 14th-fastest qualifying time at 13.
