Cougs Improve Their Score by 26 Strokes in Round Two of the Arizona Intercollegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Washington State men's golf team has a 26-stroke improvement in the second round of the Arizona Intercollegiate, as the Cougars shot 286 (+2) at the Sewailo Golf Club on Tuesday, Jan. 27. WSU goes into tomorrow's final round tied with Washington for 13th overall in the 17-team field.

The second-day improvement was evident across the team's scorecard, as each WSU golfer improved their tournament score by five-strokes-or-better during the second round of the Arizona Intercollegiate. Fifth-year senior Nicklaus Chiam and graduate transfer Eric Hagen had the biggest improvement on the day, as each golfer improved their score by eight-strokes on Tuesday.
