Cougs Finish Sixth at John Burns Intercollegiate

LIHUE, Hawaii – The Washington State men's golf team posted a sixth-place finish in its first tournament of the spring, as the Cougars concluded the John Burns Intercollegiate carding 291 (+3) in the third round to finish the tournament with a three-round score of 2-under; 862.

Junior Pono Yanagi posted his second-straight under-par round in Saturday's final go-around at the Ocean Course at Hokuala. The Hilo, Hawaii native a team-best carded 2-under;70 in the third round to end the John Burns Intercollegiate in a tie for 20th with teammate Jaden Cantafio. Both WSU golfers posted a three-round score of 1-under par; 215 in their first tournament of the spring.
