Cougs Fall to Cal in Pac-12 Tournament

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 6, 2024) – Washington State women's basketball dropped its opening round matchup of the Pac-12 Tournament to 8-seeded California, 65-44, Wednesday afternoon.

The Cougars (18-14) defended well, holding Cal to 39 percent from the field, but the Golden Bears were scrappy on the boards for 26 second chance points.

Eleonora Villa continued her hot shooting with a team-high 17 points to go with two assists, a rebound and a steal.

Bella Murekatete finished with eight points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block.

Beyonce Bea led on the boards with nine, and also had three points and a steal.
