Cougs compete in NCAA West Regional in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Neema Kimtai placed 32nd with a time of 20:23.7 to lead Washington State women's cross country in the NCAA West Regional women's 6k from Haggin Oaks Golf Course, while Brian Barsaiya finished 36th overall in the men's 10k with a time of 30:01.9 to lead the way for the Cougars.

Kimtai finished with her best 6k time of the season to lead the Cougars while freshman Nicole Bissell notched a new career-best, finishing in 21:21.5 to take 113th overall. The Cougar women also placed 13th as a team as Nicole Bissell (21:21.
