LIHUE, Hawaii – Christian Yanagi ended his first day at the 44th John Burns Intercollegiate just outside the top-50 on the player leaderboard, as the freshman finished in a tie for 58th to lead the Washington State men's golf team after 18 holes of play at the Wailua Golf Course. The Cougars will open the second-round tomorrow, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. PT.
Yanagi ended the first round at three-over-par, 75, to place 58th in the 124-player field after the first round.
