Cougars Win Palouse Collegiate, Burcham Captures Medalist Honors

PULLMAN, Wash. (Sept. 10, 2025) – Washington State University shot a three-round team score of -45, 807, the lowest three-round score in school history as it captured a six-stroke victory over Santa Clara Wednesday to at the Palouse Collegiate, played at the par-71, 7,302-yard Palouse Ridge Golf Club. Sophomore Dylan Burcham captured his first collegiate title as he finished at 15-under, 198, for a one-stroke victory to take medalist honors.

Riding the momentum of a 16-under, 268, during the second round, the Cougars improved that by two strokes over the final round as four of the five golfers went under par, led by junior Ben Mulder's 6-under, 65, as the Cougars finished six shots ahead of first-round leader Santa Clara, and 17 shots in front of both Pacific and Colorado.
