The Cougar men’s basketball will be spending the Thanksgiving break in paradise as they travel to the Cayman Islands Classic in November. The bracket for this tournament was announced yesterday and the Cougars first matchup will be against an old friend. Kyle Smith’s charges will playing former Cougar athletic director Bill Moos’ Nebraska Cornhuskers. Moos of course left WSU abruptly in the fall of 2017 angering many Cougar fans.
The Huskers just hired new coach Fred Hoiberg late of the Chicago Bulls after a 19-17 finish in the Big Ten last year. This should be a nice challenge for the start of the Kyle Smith era.
