ORLANDO, Fla. (November 23, 2025) – Washington State women's basketball fell to Missouri, 71-54 on Sunday, riding a 24-point performance from Eleonora Villa which matched a career-best in a competitive loss at the WBCA Showcase.
Villa was the engine of the Cougar offense from the start, hitting 10-of-20 from the field, drilling three triples and adding five assists. Her pace and confidence helped WSU cut the deficit to three early in the second quarter, and a series of defensive stops kept the Cougars within reach late into the third.
Marta Alsina added 9 points on efficient shooting, while Malia Ruud posted 7 points, 6 rebounds, and a block in a strong all-around effort.
