FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 27, 2024) – Washington State rallied with four runs in the ninth inning to send the game to extra innings at third-ranked TCU but dropped an 8-7 decision in 12 innings at Lupton Stadium Tuesday evening.
The Cougars (5-3) recorded 16 hits and hit two home runs as led the way with a career-high four hits including a leadoff home run, had two hits and three RBI, had a two-run double and had two hits including a long home run. On the mound, relievers and each fired three scoreless innings as Grillo struck out seven during the ninth, tenth and eleventh innings.
