Cougars Ninth-Inning Rally Held off by No. 1 UCLA

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State took a two-run lead into the seventh inning before UCLA rallied for a 13-10 victory in the series-finale at Bailey-Brayton Field Sunday afternoon. The Cougars scored two runs in the ninth and brought the potential tying run and game-winning runs to the plate with one out but the UCLA bullpen ended the threat with a pair of strikeouts and a fly out.

WSU received three hits from for the second straight day along with two hits and two RBI from as four Cougars recorded multiple-hits. UCLA rallied for the comeback win with a five-run seventh inning and finished the game with 17 hits.
