Cougars in Eighth before Second Round Postponed

TUCSON, Ariz. – Led by sophomore Derek Bayley and freshman Aaron Whalen, the Washington State University men’s golf team is in 8th place (+24, 542) before the rest of the second round of play was postponed due to darkness at the Arizona Intercollegiate, Friday at the Sewailo Golf Club.

Washington and Texas, in first and second place, are the only two teams that are under par. California rounds out the top three. Trailing Utah by one stroke, but leading Arizona by seven, WSU is competing well against a talented Pac-12 group.

“I think everyone feels like they have strokes that got away,” WSU Head Coach Garrett Clegg said.
