FAIRFAX, Va. -- Sixteen student-athletes from Washington State University were selected as Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars for 2018. The names and photographs of all this year's Sports Scholars are included in the April 5 issue of Diversity Issues in Higher Education magazine.
Beginning in 1992, the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Awards honor undergraduate students who have excelled in the classroom as well as on the athletic field. Inspired by tennis legend Arthur Ashe Jr.'s commitment to education and his love for the game of tennis, U.S. colleges and universities are invited to participate in this annual awards program by nominating their outstanding young men and women student-athletes.
