PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's soccer team lost to the Pepperdine Waves, 0-1, Saturday night at Lower Soccer Field in West Coast Conference action. After recognizing the senior class ahead of the match, the Cougars and Waves clashed under heavy rain and gusts of wind, as Pepperdine found the game-winning goal in the 61st minute.
With a slick playing surface on the Palouse, both sides took opportunities on goal from distance, with the Waves outshooting the Cougs 17-15. WSU had the higher quality chances, putting nine shots on frame compared to five for Pepperdine.
