Washington State’s streak of series wins came to an end this weekend in Corvallis. The Cougars entered the weekend winners of four straight series, but running into the No. 1 team in the country proved to be too big of a challenge to keep that streak alive.
The Cougars lost the first two games of the series 4-3 and 5-0. Things unraveled a bit on Sunday. The Beavers scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and just kept piling on, eventually completing the sweep with a 14-3 victory.
The Cougars wrap up their season this weekend at home.
