CEDAR CITY, Utah. (November 8, 2025) – Washington State battled Saturday afternoon, but a late push from Southern Utah proved just enough as the Cougars fell 77-64.
Despite the final margin, the Cougars (0-3, 0-0 WCC) controlled long stretches of the game and as Eleonora Villa poured in 21 points on an efficient 8-of-14 shooting. Villa was locked in from the perimeter, knocking down three triples and guiding the Cougar offense with a game-high 39 minutes.
Malia Ruud delivered her strongest collegiate performance to date, dominating early in the second half and finishing with 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting.
