Cougars Fall to Gonzaga in Nonconference Contest

SPOKANE, Wash. (March 21, 2023) – Washington State dropped an 12-7 nonconference matchup to Gonzaga at Steve Hertz Field Tuesday evening.

WSU dropped to 14-6 overall after Gonzaga (7-12) scored five runs in the first, two in the second and added single runs in the third and fourth.

Freshman Max Hartman collected his first two career hits including a solo homer to right field, Sam Brown doubled twice, Elijah Hainline homered while Jacob McKeon and Cam Magee each added two hits.

KEY MOMENTS OF THE GAME
In the first, Cam Magee pulled a single through the right side before McKeon doubled to left-centerfield and Brown followed with an opposite-field double to left field for a 2-0 Cougar lead.
