FRESNO, Calif. – The 36th-ranked Washington State Tennis team snapped a two-match skid by defeating Fresno State, 4-1 Wednesday afternoon at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
With the win, the Cougars improve to 14-4 on the season while Fresno State falls to 6-7.
The day began with doubles and Washington State captured wins at No. 1 and 3 to secure the opening point. Hikaru Sato and Tiffany Mylonas defeated Deniza Marcinkevica and Ella Husrefovic of Fresno State 6-2 at No. 1 while the Cougar duo of Michaela Bayerlova and Aneta Miksovska clinched the point with a 6-2 win over Jennifer Timotin and Shir Azran at No.
