SEATTLE (March 19, 2022) – Washington State dropped an 8-2 contest to Washington in the second game of The Boeing Apple Cup Series Saturday evening. The start of the game was delayed 30 minutes due to rain.
WSU (9-9, 1-4 Pac-12) received a two-run homer from who recorded his third home run in the last three games.
Washington starter Calvin Kirchoff worked 6.2 innings and lost a no-hitter in the seventh on a Swarts home run. UW scored at least one run in the first six innings highlighted by a three-run third to clinch the series.
