FRESNO, Calif. (February 11, 2023) – Washington State Tennis captured the opening doubles point and the top five singles matches en route to a 6-1 victory over Cal Poly Saturday morning at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
With the win, the Cougars sweep their two matches in Fresno this weekend and improve to 4-3 on the season. Cal Poly falls to 1-2.
In doubles play, the Cougars captured the opening point for the third-straight match, this time taking wins at No. 2 and 3. At No. 3, Fifa Kumhom and Hania Abouelsaad teamed up for the first time this season and came away with a 6-2 win over Kennedy Buntrock and Eliza Bates.
