CORVALLIS, Ore. — Washington State battled through a defensive slugfest Saturday night at Reser Stadium but came up just short in a 10–7 setback against Oregon State.
The Cougars (4–5) controlled much of the first half and took a 7–3 lead into the break after sophomore running back punched in a 3-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter. WSU's 75-yard scoring drive was highlighted by efficient passing from senior quarterback and timely runs from the Cougar backfield.
Eckhaus finished 13 of 24 for 146 yards through the air while adding 24 yards on the ground.
