SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 24, 2025) -- Number 3-seed Washington State Tennis posted a 4-0 victory over No. 6 Portland in a West Coast Conference Championship quarterfinal match Thursday at the Aztec Tennis Center.
With the win, the Cougars improve to 17-7 on the season and advance to a semifinal matchup against No. 2-seed San Diego Friday morning.
WSU opened the day by capturing wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles to capture the opening point. On Court 3, WSU's Hania Abouelsaad and Martina Markov won their seventh-straight match and were first off with a 7-5 win over Isabella Marquart and Maria Galatescu.
