PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State tennis team handed out its team awards for the 2014-15 campaign at the season-ending banquet recently.
Freshman Donika Bashota captured the team Most Valuable Player and Newcomer of the Year Awards, freshman Holly Monahan was the recipient of the Strength and Conditioning Award, freshman Nastia Vasyukhina received the Academic Excellence Award while the Coaches Award was given to junior team captain Lize Leenknecht.
A native of Lidköping, Sweden, Bashota recently completed her freshman year where she posted a team-best 57 combined wins, going 31-16 in singles and 26-16 in doubles.
