PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's soccer team defeated Loyola Marymount, 2-0, Saturday night at Lower Soccer Field in Pullman. The Cougars (4-5-4) earned their first shutout of conference play with freshman and senior scoring for WSU.
WSU controlled the match from the opening whistle, delivering 32 total shots in the match with 10 shots on target. The Cougars broke through in the 29th minute when Middleborn headed home the eventual game-winning goal off a corner kick. Freshman earned her first career assist, laying the short corner kick back to sophomore Audrey Shackleford for the delivery into the box.
