OREM, Utah (April 26, 2023) – Washington State collected 16 hits in a 16-5 win at Utah Valley Wednesday evening.
WSU improved to 25-14 overall for its best start since 1994 after , and each homered while McKeon, , and each collected three hits. Leadoff hitter and McKeon scored four runs apiece, Brown and Magee each doubled twice and drove in three runs.
McKeon hit a two-run home run in the first inning and the Cougars pulled away with three in the third, three more in the fourth and five run the fifth inning. WSU starter picked up the win after striking out a career-high four in three innings.
