Cougar baseball falls to McNeese State, and Trek Stemp is done for the year

After his unfortunate injury against UW, we won't be seeing any more of junior utility player in 2016

The Cougs disappointed Thursday night with a 10-2 loss to McNeese State, but that wasn't the only blow that was dealt. It was reported by Tom Hager of the Moscow-Pullman Daily News that WSU's leader in hits, Trek Stemp, is injured and out for the season.

The injury happened in the Cougs game against UW Saturday, and appears to be of the testicular variety. The incident looks pretty cut and dry, but you can see for yourself below. It's hard to think of a much worse outcome from a pitch than taking one straight to the balls and having it be a strike.
