Bryce Beekman’s death ruled accidental by coroner

More than a month after senior safety Bryce Beekman passed away, the coroner has determined the cause and manner of his death. Theo Lawson of the Spokesman Review reported today the coroner’s findings that Beekman died of an accidental overdose.

“Acute intoxication” of two drugs, promethazine and fentanyl, caused Beekman’s death according to the coroner, who also determined the senior safety died accidentally. Promethazine is a drug most commonly used as an anti-nausea drug, while fentanyl is a narcotic.

Police had originally been called to Beekman’s home on March 24th to a report of breathing problems and he died shortly after.
