SAN FRANCISCO (May 4, 2022) – Washington State fifth-year senior Michaela Bayerlova has been named the 2022 Pac-12 Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Year while teammate Savanna Ly-Nguyen also received all-conference honors, the Pac-12 announced Wednesday.
Bayerlova, from Krumbach, Germany, is the first Cougar player in program history to earn Pac-12 Conference Player of the Year honors, while also collecting her third first-team all-conference honor. She is the only Cougar Tennis player to earn first-team honors since the conference expanded to full round-robin play in 1998, while also being a second-team selection last season.
