Barsaiya records top-10 time, Cougs open split weekend in Seattle and Spokane

SEATTLE / SPOKANE, Wash. — Brian Barsaiya ran a personal-best 13:53.0 in the men's 5,000m run, the third-fastest indoor time in program history, as Washington State men's and women's track and field teams competed in the first of two days at both the Husky Classic and the Whitworth Invitational Friday.

Barsaiya's 10th-place finish at the Dempsey Indoor Center was the top finish of the night for the Cougars to open the Husky Classic. Back on the East side at The Podium, Eva Lowder just missed out on the 4.36m WSU record, finishing with a final mark of 4.
