A worthy investment by the Schultz Family Foundation in youth job training

CAN you help me get a job?

That is the No. 1 request from youths who come to the front desk of James W. Ray Orion Center in downtown Seattle.

Thanks to the Schultz Family Foundation, help is on the way. Recently, the Seattle-based foundation kicked off a promising initiative called 100,000 Opportunities. The foundation plans to spend $30 million to train young people and secure jobs for them at companies such as Starbucks, Alaska Airlines, Porch.com and Microsoft.

That investment will benefit employers and society because these young people will enter the workforce prepared and motivated.
