When the Washington Redskins fired general manager Scot McCloughan on Thursday, fans and players were all rightfully upset. In two years, McCloughan had done a solid job of finding quality young players to fit into the Redskins scheme and looked to be building towards a strong future. Then, disaster struck as tensions within the front office started to grow. Owner Daniel Snyder opted to stick with Redskins President Bruce Allen over McCloughan and sent the general manager packing.
Now, the Redskins are going to be looking for a new general manager. They will have a lot of quality candidates available across the NFL, but one name in particular has stuck out in early speculations.
