Report: Adrian Peterson could re-sign with the Redskins very soon

There have been many calling on the Redskins to re-sign Adrian Peterson after he had a solid season as a fill-in for the injured second-round pick, Derrius Guice. In his first season as a Redskin, Peterson tallied over 1,000 yards and helped carry the team to victory early in the season. He did slow down as the season went along, but that was to be expected of the then 33-year-old running back.

Peterson outperformed expectations, but despite his performance, it was unclear whether or not the team would be able to bring him back. Peterson would likely serve as a backup with Washington following the return of Guice, so there were questions about whether or not he would embrace that role.
