Redskins safety Montae Nicholson sees assault charges dismissed

Redskins safety Montae Nicholson saw his charges of misdemeanor assault and battery dismissed Tuesday at his court hearing in Loudoun County, according to public records.

Nicholson, 23, was arrested in December for getting into a fight just after 2 a.m. outside a bar in Ashburn. A video of the fight leaked to TMZ appeared to show Nicholson knocking a man out.

After the arrest, the Redskins placed Nicholson, a 2017 fourth-round draft pick, on the season-ending reserve/non football injury list. Coach Jay Gruden said after the draft he expected Nicholson to be ready for the start of the 2019 season.
