Redskins reportedly planning on attending Colin Kaepernick’s workout

It looks like the Washington Redskins will be in attendance for Colin Kaepernick’s Saturday workout after all.

Originally, there were conflicting reports about whether or not the Redskins would be attending Kaepernick’s workout. Interim head coach Bill Callahan said that he didn’t expect the team would attend at his Wednesday press conference, citing the fact that the team already had three quarterbacks on the roster.

However, the Redskins shortly confirmed afterward, per multiple sources, that they will, indeed, be attending Kaepernick’s workout on Saturday. And this is a smart move for the franchise.

While the ‘Skins are highly unlikely to sign Kaepernick right now — as Callahan mentioned, they do have three quarterbacks on the roster — both Case Keenum and Colt McCoy are set to be free agents after the season.
