Redskins hire Kyshoen Jarrett as quality control coach

The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday they’ve hired Kyshoen Jarrett as defensive quality control coach after the former safety spent 2018 as a coaching intern.

Jarrett, a 2015 sixth-round pick, had a promising rookie season for Washington until he suffered a career-ending spinal cord injury in Week 17 against the Dallas Cowboys. The Redskins hired him as an intern last season, and Jarrett primarily worked with the team’s nickel cornerbacks.

“Kyshoen was a valuable asset to our coaching staff last season,” coach Jay Gruden said in a statement. “He is a quality coach and a quality person and I have complete trust in him succeeding in this new role.
