Redskins add another former Eagle, sign Treyvon Hester

The Washington Redskins signed defensive tackle Trevyon Hester on Monday — making him the second former Philadelphia Eagle to join the squad in as many days.

Hester, a 6-foot-3, 291-pound lineman, had 13 tackles in 12 games last season. He was waived Saturday by the Eagles, who play the Redskins next Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

Washington also added former Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood to its 53-man roster on Sunday. Per ESPN, Smallwood received the most waiver claims out of any player available after cutdown day.

The most popular player to hit the waiver system this weekend was former Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood.
