Jaguars will interview former Redskins coach Jay Gruden for OC role

The Washington Redskins parted ways with head coach Jay Gruden five games into the 2019 season in what was unequivocally the right move. The Redskins really should’ve parted with Gruden ahead of his sixth season with the squad but instead, he entered the year as a lame duck.

The Redskins staff is now set under Ron Rivera, who is fresh off of nine seasons coaching the Carolina Panthers. And now, it seems that Jay Gruden is getting some interest for job openings as well.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Gruden is going to interview for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ open coordinator spot.
