Dwayne Haskins' growing pains evident in another Redskins loss

LANDOVER, Md. -- Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins doesn’t have much help -- not from his defense or skill players. He also isn’t in position to provide any help on his own.

Call it the growing pains with a rookie quarterback -- on a bad team.

In a 34-17 loss to the New York Jets, Haskins showed an occasional flash -- he rolled left on one play and completed a 67-yard pass that was called back on a penalty. It highlighted the arm strength. But he also was uneasy at times in the pocket, aided by the Jets’ rush.
