Chargers have 'moved on' from Philip Rivers: report

The Los Angeles Chargers will reportedly be in the market for a new quarterback this offseason.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported Monday the Chargers have “moved on” from longtime signal-caller Philip Rivers, who will be a free agent in the spring.

Rivers, 38, was drafted fourth overall by the New York Giants and traded on draft night to the Chargers in exchange for Eli Manning. The eight-time Pro Bowler has since spent his entire career with the franchise, leading them to the playoffs six times.

Last season, Rivers struggled en route to a 5-11 record. He threw just 23 touchdowns to 20 interceptions — the latter tied for the second-most of his career.
