The first weekend of the offseason is always a bit of a dead zone as far as new news about the non-playoff teams around the majors, at least those that aren’t already searching for a front office addition or a new manager.
In the case of the nation’s capitals Nationals, there really isn’t much going on out there, but we collected the news/random Nats-related stories we could find.
So far this offseason we’ve seen Washington let some members of the front office go, and on Friday night, there were rumors of interest in one of the Special Assistants to GM Mike Rizzo.
