After Realmuto’s bases-loaded, walk-off single beat the Nats on Saturday night, the 25-year-old slugger told reporters, “If that guy was on our side, it wouldn’t have happened.” That... seems ... like a weird thing to say.
Anyway, the rumors picked up again on Saturday, with multiple reports saying that the Fish want the Nationals’ top outfield prospect, Victor Robles, and the Nats’ top infield prospect, Carter Kieboom, if they’re going to trade Realmuto to their divisional rivals, after they were reportedly asking for Robles or Juan Soto as the main player in a package this winter.
