Davey Martinez was back in Washington, D.C. last night when the Nationals were in Busch Stadium losing the series opener to the St. Louis Cardinals. Martinez underwent a medical procedure on Monday after feeling chest pains during Sunday’s series finale with Atlanta.
So did fill-in skipper Chip Hale hear anything from the manager about the first of three with the Cards?
“I haven’t heard yet,” Hale said after the 4-2 loss. “I’m sure he’ll give us a call after the game if he’s up, I know he’s been through a battery of tests, so hopefully he’s feeling good.
