Perhaps no team needed the All-Star Break more than the Washington Nationals this year. After a strong June that thrust them back in the right direction, injuries mounted up to key players.
Kyle Schwarber, Joe Ross, Kyle Finnegan, Tanner Rainey, Yan Gomes, Alex Avila, Jordy Mercer, and Kyle McGowin all landed on the Injured List after June 21st. Daniel Hudson also went to the IL on June 12th and Stephen Strasburg has been there since June 2nd.
A couple of those names have now returned, but every day that passes gets the Nats ever closer to getting back to full health.
