Washington Nationals reportedly sign Tony Campana to minor league deal

According to a report this afternoon by CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman, the Washington Nationals have signed 29-year-old infielder Tony Campana to a minor league deal.

Campana, a one-time Chicago Cub, Arizona Diamondback and LA Angel, signed with the Chicago White Sox last November, but suffered a torn ACL during a workout this winter and was released back in March.

According to Heyman's tweeted reports, he's recovered from surgery well:

Campana could provide extra late season and October speed.
